Acclaimed journalist and TV presenter Esther Rantzen delighted the residents and staff of a care home when she came to visit.
The That’s Life star spoke to the residents of Nightingale, in Clapham, about how she became involved with the popular TV shows such as Braden’s Week, Hearts of Gold, DrugWatch and ChildWatch.
Chief executive of Nightingale, Leon Smith, said: “Esther Rantzen has always been a regular face on our television screens and it was a huge honour that she could come and join us at Nightingale for the afternoon.
“Over the past few weeks the residents have really been looking forward to meeting Esther particularly as many of them are avid That’s Life fans.”
Rantzen became the latest celebrity to pay the Nightingale Lane home a visit on January 12.
