Local MP Justine Greening visited new Catholic college Saint John Bosco last Friday for an update on its progress.

The school, in Princes Way, Southfields, opened in September and incorporates the former Battersea Salesian College and Southfields' John Paul II.

Ms Greening spoke to students and was told about its progress since her first visit to the school when it opened last year.

She has returned the invitation and invited students for a visit to Parliament later this year.

A spokesperson for the school said: "Justine spent a long time with our students where she was keen to learn of their experience in the challenging project of bringing two schools together.

"Later Justine took a tour of the school where she met many more students and was suitably impressed by what she saw."
