A lucky youngster from Earlsfield fulfilled the dream of a lifetime by meeting his hero Thierry Henry before an FA Cup tie last week.
Eddie Miller, aged eight, was chosen at random to be the Gunners’ mascot for their match with Aston Villa last weekend.
Football mad Eddie got to meet the entire Arsenal team, including legendary striker Henry, as the Gunners came from 2-0 down to win the match 3-2.
Being a member of Arsenal’s junior supporter’s club, the Junior Gunners, gave him the once in a lifetime chance of walking the team out onto the pitch at Emirates Stadium and meeting his heroes.
Eddie said: “It was just brilliant to have been chosen. Meeting the whole teem was amazing and I had a great day, especially seeing us come back in the second half to win the game.”
Like any dedicated young fan, Eddie even managed to bag the whole team's autographs and a brand new Arsenal kit.
Thierry Henry, who re-signed for the Gunners In January from New York Red Bulls, said: “It was great to meet Eddie at the ground, ahead of our match with Villa. I hope he enjoyed the experience and will remember it for a long time to come.”
