Staff at a loft conversion business have turned crimefighters by posting a security video on YouTube after a theft from a worker.

More Than Lofts reported the theft of an iPhone 4 from its premises in Worcester Park on Friday, January 20.

It has since posted CCTV footage on the video sharing website in the hope that someone will come forward with information.

The video shows a group of youths walking into its premises in Central Road. One of them appears to pick up a mobile phone from one of the desks and put it into his pocket.

The company said the incident happened at 11.21am.

Police have been given the CCTV and are investigating.

Employee Kirsten Arnold said: “I was in here by myself when three guys, who looked about 18 or 19, came in. They were asking if we he had any work.

“I was suspicious. After they had gone I had noticed our work phone was missing.”

The company asked for anyone with information to contact them. It also warned businesses to be vigilant.
