A public meeting about the shocking level of air pollution in Putney is being organised by Wandsworth Environment Forum (WEF).

The meeting will take place next month and aims to raise awareness of the high levels of Nitrogen Oxide found in Putney.

Jonathan Callaway of the Putney Society and Simon Birkett, founder of Clean Air in London will be on the panel and will give a short presentation.

It is also hoped there will be a spokesperson from Wandsworth Council joining the panel.

Those attending will be able to find out about the extent of the crisis and learn what what has been done so far to tackle the problem.

There will also be the opportunity to question the panel and find out what residents can do themselves to help.

Organisers hope local people affected by the issue will attend and network with other residents concerned about the issue.

Out of breath? - Air quality in Wandsworth, the facts & what's being done about it is on at Wandsworth Town Hall, March 21, 7.30pm to 9pm.

Attendance is free.
