Man in critical condition after shooting

Police have launched an appeal following the shooting of a 20-year-old man.

Officers were called to York Gardens near to Plough Road, Battersea, just before 2.20pm today following reports of gunshots.

A man was taken to a south London hospital with a suspected gunshot wound to the torso and was in a critical condition.

Officers are looking for two people seen on a black motorcycle before the shooting.

Witnesses saw the bike bike leave along Plough Road, turning left into York Road.

Officers from Trident Gang Crime Command are investigating.

No arrests have yet been made.
