Southfields man sheds 98 pounds for London Marathon
7:30am Wednesday 25th April 2012 in News
A man who lost 98 pounds training for the London Marathon has raised £2,382 for charity by completing the race on Saturday.
Keith Moore, 28, of Southfields, was running for Leonard Cheshire Disability.
The accountant weighed 26.3st but slimmed down to 19.5st by taking on a gruelling five day a week training regime.
He finished the race in six hours 50 minutes.
Mr Moore said: "A year ago I could barely run up the road, and if you’d have told me that 12 months later I’d be running the London Marathon then I wouldn’t have believed you."
His charity of choice supports disabled people in the UK by campaigning for change and providing innovative services.
