Take That star Mark Owen visited St George's Hospital last Friday and opened a new children's garden.
The singer cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the garden, while patient Christian Blandford released balloons. Mr Owen presented the hospital with a cheque for £20,000 from the Take That Trust. He said: “All the lads think this is a great project and that’s why on behalf of the Take That Trust I’d like to present the hospital with this cheque for £20,000.”
Sadiq Khan MP also came to greet the star, with his daughters Anisah Khan and Ammarah Khan.
Mr Owen chatted to the young patients during his visit and wooed the nurses working on the children's ward.
Patients and their families enjoyed a cake cut by Mr Owen after the opening.
