Woman dies in Tooting flat fire
A woman has died following a fire at a flat in Tooting.
Firefighters were called to the ground floor flat in Huron Road, at 4.56pm yesterday.
Four fire engines and 20 firefighters tackled the blaze.
About a quarter of the four room flat, which was in a terraced house, was damaged by fire.
Firefighters found the woman's body inside the property.
The fire was under control by 5.55pm and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
