Well done to all of those who entered our Jo Brand-themed competition.
In the wake of the comedian’s comments that Streatham was a “s******e”, we asked you to liken it to an item of confectionery.
The winner was Emma Cullen, who has just moved to Streatham.
Emailing her entry for the competition, comparing Streatham to “a Wispa, because not enough people have heard how great it is”, she said: “I moved to Streatham on the day the Jo Brand story broke but I have found her comments unfounded so far during my first week as a Streathamite.”
Emma wins a dinner worth £40 at the Manor Arms, which is set to launch a new crab shack menu, and then entry to the Hideaway – the town’s top jazz venue.
The prize is valid any Thursday in May.
The two runners-up each win a pair of tickets to the Hideaway on a Thursday evening in May.
