A French teacher has written a collection of short stories inspired by food recipes.
Freedom Fries and Café Crème, by Jocelyne Rapinac, of Southfields, is set to be published on May 17.
The book brings together her love of France and food, with each story representing a month of the calender year.
Complimenting each tale is a recipe which the characters and Jocelyne adore.
Foodies can try out a rose cake representing May, a white chocolate and berry cake for July or April's tomato pie.
Stories include a grandmother giving her granddaughter tips on where to find a soul-mate, and a young couple realising their lives are taking separate journeys.
Mrs Rapinac also uses food to explore cultural differences in her work, having also lived in America and Switzerland.
