Man still critical after Freshwater Road stabbing

A man is still in critical condition after being stabbed in the chest in a residential Tooting street last week.
Residents were woken by large numbers of police arriving at the junction of Freshwater Road and Welham Road on Wednesday May 10.
The victim, a 20-year-old man who was in a critical condition, was found by officers on the pavement of Welham Road just before midnight.
A resident said: "There were quite a lot of police cars, 4x4 type vehicles and ambulances blocking off the road.
"One officer I spoke to said a man had been stabbed and that the situation was ongoing."
A police spokesman said: "We arrived at the scene just before midnght after reports of a stabbing.
"We found a 20-year-old man with stab wounds in a critical condition.
"He is currently receiving treatment in a south London hospital."
