Primary school children were treated to a surprise visit by Cbeebies magazine character Rastamouse.

Pupils in West Hill Primary School, in Merton Road, Wandsworth, joined pupils in a lesson on recycling rubbish into everyday objects on Tuesday, June 19.

Rastamouse helped spread the message of 'Makin' a Bad Ting Good' and oversaw the children's work alongside his team of helpers.

Year six teacher Laura Malyn said: "We regularly get the children to work on projects such as recycling so that they can understand their impact on the world around them and respect it.

"Rastamouse is very popular with many of the pupils so it was great that he and the crew could come and help out."

The giant mouse was delighted by the enthusiasm of children to recycle.

Rastamouse said: "Mi and da crew had a wicked time meetin all dem likkle ones an da grown ups on mi adventure round London.

"Wi always chattin' wid Carlton bout makin sure we re-use stuff dat no longer needed an wi had wicked fun helpin all dem kids collect all dat rubbish ta recycle."

The school visit was part of a Rastamouse tour around London where he spread the message of 'Makin' a Bad Ting Good'.
