New website for people with disabilities
A new website for people with learning disabilities and carers has been launched.
The Wandsworth Mencap website is the first of it's kind, acting as an online hub for service users.
It's launch coincided with the Wandsworth Carers' Week celebrations, with the council's director of adult social services, Dawn Warwick, visiting the charity in Totterdown Street, Tooting.
Service users who have been taking computer classes in Mencap's computer resource room also attended the launch.
About 36 people and carers have been enjoying the classes in the past year.
The charity is hoping the website will attract more people with learning disabilities and their carers to come to computer classes.
Mencap provides facilities and leisure activities, as well as a massage service.
