12:40pm Wednesday 15th August 2012 in News By Alexandra Rucki
Police are hunting a man after a 31-year-old woman was inappropriately touched in a rail station.
CCTV images have been released of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place at Clapham Junction station, on July 14 about 12.30am.
The woman was walking towards the barriers in the St John’s Hill exit of the station when she noticed the man walking towards her.
As they passed each other she felt the man reach out and touch her indecently, police said.
Detective Constable Andy Parkinson, of the British Transport Police’s public protection unit, said: “From our enquiries so far, we believe the man boarded a train at Clapham Junction station which we believe he left at Balham.
“If you have any information about what happened, please come forward and speak to us. This was a distressing experience for the victim, and we are determined to catch the man responsible.
Anyone with information can call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference B6 of 11/8/2012 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
