New cinema set to open in Tooting
A new cinema, bar and supper club is set to open in Tooting by the end of the year.
The Gorringe Park, a former Young's pub, in London Road was purchased by the Charles Wells Pub Company in February this year.
It was announced this week owners have joined forces with the Yummy Pub Co to create a £500k refurbishment of the venue.
The development includes a cinema of the lower ground floor of the pub, a traditional ground floor bar and a series of upstairs function rooms.
There will also be a supper club running in the pub, as well as a library.
Tim Foster, director of Yummy Pub Co, said: "Of the four Yummy pubs, this is the one we’re most excited about, having developed a whole new identity with eccentric design elements that we’ll be unveiling in due course."
Building work is expected to take place by the end of August and last for about eight weeks.
