Gethin Jones joins families on bike ride

Cyclists joined TV presenter Gethin Jones on a bike ride through Wandsworth, weeks after Olympic cycle races sped through the borough.

The Sky Ride took place in King George's Park, Mapleton Road, Wandsworth, to celebrate Team GB's cycling success.

Families explored the park by bike, which was free to join in and open to all abilities.

The ride was led by Mr Jones and British cycling ride leaders who were on hand to give guidance.

Mr Jones, Sky Ride local ambassador, said: :"British cyclists are the perfect role models, inspiring the youth to get active by getting on their bikes.

"It was wonderful to be part of today’s ride with keen young cyclists and their families enjoying a leisurely ride through King George’s Park."
