A 36-year-old man has been charged for daubing racist graffiti on a number of properties.

Faruq Arshad, 36, of Clapham Common West Side, Clapham, was charged last Friday with 13 offences of racially aggravated criminal damage.

Graffiti targeting the Pakistani community was found on the walls of Balham Job Centre, in Balham High Road, and an estate agents, in Balham Hill, last week.

Mr Arshad appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on Saturday and has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear in Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
