Council offers MOTs you can trust at test centre

Car owners who need an MOT can book one they can trust at the council’s test centre.

The council offers motorists full MOT tests on their vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and safe to drive.

And because the council's test centre in Frogmore doesn’t carry out any repairs, drivers can rest assured that there will be no hidden extras or bogus recommendations that work needs to be carried out.

Booking a test couldn’t be easier. By visiting www.wandsworthmot.co.uk owners can select the date and time that suits them best using the live, online booking diary.

Once the booking is complete they will be sent an instant email confirming the appointment, and can even request a text message reminder the night before. Tests can also be booked by calling (020) 8871 6761.

Consumer champion Martin Lewis, who runs the moneysavingexpert.com is a long standing supporter of council-run MOT centres.

He says: “The feedback we’ve received from council-run MOT centres is fantastic, as people tend to find their vehicle passes with far less fails - though important safety problems are always highlighted.

“The fact council’s don’t offer repairs and therefore have no vested interest in erring on the side of fails has a lot to do with it.”
