Gold medal winning rower Sophie Hosking visits St Micheal's Church of England Primary School, Southfields
Olympic gold medal winning Sophie Hosking has visited a primary school to inspire her young fans.
The lightweight double sculls winner spoke to pupils at St Michael's Church of England Primary School, in Granville Road, Southfields, on Friday.
Schoolchildren learned new song "You Are Amazing" and surprised the London Rowing Club medallist with a performance.
The school was decked out in bunting donated by families, as well as union flags.
Hosking answered questions during a Q&A session, while telling pupils to follow their dreams.
a team of four year six students also gave a speech on why they were inspired by her.
She was given more awards to hang up alongside her medal - a super star certificate and a well done letter.
Teacher Rachel Davies said: "It was a really really very moving event, she was very inspiring. She was quite taken aback when she arrived."
