Hedgehog Day set for Battersea Park Zoo
6:00pm Wednesday 17th October 2012 in News
The four-inch long baby hedgehog
Visitors to Battersea Park Children's Zoo at the end of October are probably best advised not to try to pet this little fellow.
The tiny spiked mammal which measures just four inches in length, will be centre stage at the zoo's Hedgehog Day on October 30.
The day is being organised by the People's Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) and will include hedgehog-focussed fun, including story time, a real hedgehog encounter and hedgehog-themed arts and crafts.
The Battersea Park Children's Zoo, which is based in Battersea Park, has a wide range of animals such as capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, ringtailed lemurs, mara, emu, coati, Asian short clawed otters and numerous bird species such as African grey parrots.
