Claire has been working with Cafe Du Monde for 6 years and in that time has been a Cub Scout leader. She has been chosen to take a group of Scouts to the International Jamboree in Japan in 2015 and has to fund raise for herself and the scouts. She has held boot fairs, bag packing in Sainsburys, selling sweets to the cubs and holding a monthly prize draw. With her next fundraising challenge she wanted not only raise money for the Scouts but also for Macmillan.

It is Cafe du Monde’s 10th anniversary in supporting Macmillan and in that time £87,000 has been raised Claire would love to help reach the target of £100,000 she also lost her father to Cancer and Macmillan Nurses helped the family to cope.

On 26th April 2014 she went to Raw hairdressers in Dartford, where they cut her 16 inch pony tail off, which has been sent to be made into a wig for people living with cancer.
