The children of Parkway Primary School, Erith, have raised an astonishing £1056.68 for the military charity Walking With the Wounded.
The charity, which helps to re-train and find alternative careers for wounded soldiers, was the beneficiary of a series of fundraising events from the children, staff, parents and friends of Parkway School. The events included a sponsored 3 legged race, as part of a World Record attempt.
“The children had a fantastic time fundraising,” said Nicole Bradley, Headteacher. “The school community have shown how generous they are and how much they value the work of this special charity.”
