Furious father can't wash disabled daughter after water stops running

A man is furious after he had to wash his disabled daughter at her grandma's house because he had no running water in his bathroom for two weekends.

Barry Ward had to take his four-year-old daughter, who has hydrocephalus or water on the brain, to his mother-in-law's in Worcester Park last Saturday after enduring a second weekend without running water.

The problem arose when a new set of taps were installed that reduced the water pressure, and despite a succession of visits from plumbers, the water pressure has not returned.

“Our daughter needs to be bathed daily. It’s been a nightmare. "
Barry Ward

His home, in Glenn Road, Chessington, is managed by London and Quadrant Housing Group, who have apologised to Mr Ward.

He said: "I'm pretty annoyed about it and angry about the workmanship.

"Our daughter needs to be bathed daily. It's been a nightmare.

In a statement London and Quadrant said: "We are doing everything possible to ensure the problem is resolved as quickly as possible and with the minimum amount of disruption.

"Mr Ward has been visited on several occasions by plumbers and electricians while London and Quadrant investigated the cause of the problem.

"Unfortunately work of this size and nature can take time and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to Mr Ward and his family."
