Protect the Protectors!
Mayor of London, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, ousted Sir Ian Blair and took control of the Metropolitan Police Authority. Not knowing either gent. what I have seen & heard of the latter impressed me greatly. I felt that I could trust him. Not so the former. Perhaps because he has ignored my, attempted, contact on matters of Human concern; to some Humanists!
The, shortened, version of Boris has extricated himself from the MPA just when they need his support. In this: Police should patrol in pairs so if one gets into trouble the other can call for help. Lone officers are effectively sitting ducks.
Possibly he, now, wants to avoid the police after he dented his cycling image with a £4,698 taxi bill?
