Furzedown community were out in force on Saturday 21 January enjoying a fantastic evening of comedy with Arthur Smith who performed his celebrated Edinburgh hit; Arthur Smith & the Smithereens Sing Leonard Cohen.
Arthur's reflections on dementia, enthusiasm, comedy and death were marinated in Cohen’s music in a performance that was personal and poignant, yet packed with big laughs.
The sell out event at Chestnut Grove Academy helped raise funds to open a chill-out room for young people with cancer in St George's hospital and other local causes supported by furzedown-face.org.uk and will help the Furzedown Community Network keep their popular 'Big Day Out' events in June FREE.
