The results of the Governor Elections at the NHS Trust that runs St George's Hospital, one of the UK's largest teaching hospitals, were announced on 1st February.
The Trust was placed in special measures in November last year, after it was rated “inadequate” by the independent regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The Trust is keen to hear the views of local people in the community and the Council of Governors will be influential in the way services are reformed and delivered in future.
Nigel Brindley, one of the newly elected Governors said “I am passionate about the NHS and care deeply about the quality of healthcare available at our hospitals. It’s a privilege to be elected as a voice for the people of Wandsworth in what is going to be a period of great change, not just at St George’s but for all healthcare services in South West London”.
A full list of the election results can be found on the Trust’s web site: www.stgeorges.nhs.uk/about/foundation-trust/meet-the-governors-2016/governor-elections
