Wandsworth Company support fencing talent
The Natural Wood Floor Company in Wandsworth is rooting for young fencer Edward Christophers who is off to Poland to represent England in a world-renowned fencing championship this month.
The company who have a warehouse and showroom on Smuggler’s Way, sponsor 15-year-old Edward, providing financial help with equipment and travel.
“It is great having a sponsor as it takes a lot of resources to train all the time and the equipment is expensive. Every now and then a foil will break and they cost a lot to replace. I don’t know how my family would afford it without some help,” says 15-year-old Edward from Barnet.
The company also sponsors Motorcross champion Jake Capocciama and go carting talent Axel La Flamme who has been scouted by McLaren.
“We are lucky to be able to sponsor three such talented young men. We are sure they are going to be huge successes in their chosen fields. We will be rooting for Edward in Poland,” says the company’s Director Peter Keane.
Edward joins the England Squad for Challenge Wratislavia in Wroclaw, which runs from March 23rd – 27th.
