Wandsworth born and breed Geraldine O'Brien (former pupil of St Josephs, Putney Bridge Road and trained cardio/thoracic and ICU nurse from ST Georges Tooting) and family are tirelessly fundraising for husband Neil Jenkins (from Clapham) who has been diagnosed with a rare aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis.
In the past 4 years he has gone from a healthy working father of 4 to almost being completely bed bound now and he has just undergone successful surgery to have a feeding tube fitted which will enable him to get the nutrients he desperately needs to build up his strength for the inevitable treatment of HSCT which the family are fundraising for.
As he can no longer walk he does not fit the criteria for the treatment here on the NHS so the family are looking to Israel where they will treat nonwalking MS patients. For more info and to donate please visit:
