On the 26th of May 1903, my great-grandmother Harriet Dunn married an unsuitable man, and headed north with the navy, losing we think, all contact with her family in Norfolk.

Now, through a great deal of patient research, we've tracked most of them down, and a particularly interesting branch came to live in and around Wandsworth.

Harriet's younger brother, Albert, met and married 'Ruth Beatrice Winget' (nee' Simpson), on the 6th of September 1916, at 'St James, Clapham Park', and they went on to have four sons together; Charles Albert (b Dec 1917), Ralph Edward (b 8/7/1919), Derick Alexander Guy (b 5/11/1921, D August 2002, appears to have lived his whole life in Wandsworth), and John Dunn (b 1st quarter of 1926, married to Brenda in 1973, in Wandsworth, and possibly still alive!)

The last known address of this family, as stated in two different family wills, was 111 Hydethorpe Rd, Balham, SW12, but this was in 1947. Albert Dunn died on the 29th of November 1937 of TB, but we're hoping that somebody might have memories of Derick Dunn, any of his brothers, or really pushing the boat out here, one of the Dunn Boy's children might see this, and be willing to talk to us, filling in as they do a huge number of gaps in our family knowledge. Any information that anyone is able to give us would be gratefully received.
