The Wandsworth Nursery and Pre-School Academy, part of the Busy Bees Childcare group, recently welcomed parents and families to showcase a number of childcare learning enhancements.

On Saturday 13th May, parents were invited to find out more about the play-based learning methods that Busy Bees Childcare have created to provide children with foundations for key skills in later education and life.

Staff at the Smugglers Way-based nursery unveiled the four key learning enhancements designed by the Busy Bees Childcare team including Babble to Chatter, which encourages communication skills through the advancement of the core building block of language development, Shake and Write uses physical movement to stimulate handwriting skills and the Nurturing Problem Solving aims to support the natural mathematical problem solving abilities in young children.

Wandsworth nursery manager, Evelyn Herrera, said:

“We really enjoyed spending time with our parents and it was a great opportunity for them to learn about how their children are developing within nursery.

“The open day was a perfect way to show parents the success of our play-based methods, especially our enhancements where we are seeing particular success with the children.  We have a fantastic staff team here at the nursery who are passionate about providing children with the best possible start in life.”
