Arushi Treanor of Battersea has just turned 10 years old. Excited at the prospect of turning double digits, she decided that this year maybe she could use the generosity of her friends and family to help benefit some people she knew.
Her amazing 33 year old Uncle Paddy has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. Her lovely 4 year old family friend Jasmine has E.B. a genetic skin condition that causes the skin to blister at even the slightest touch.
It is inexplicable why young people have to suffer!
So Arushi concocted the following message for her family:
"I don't know if you know this but I've decided to ask people for money on my birthday (that is if anyone wants to get me anything as don't want to look greedy!)
and I'm going to give it to charity. I'm giving it to DEBRA and the Royal Marsden so Jasmine and Uncle Paddy can get better.

Arushi has raised £250 by donating all her birthday cash for the Royal Marsden and DEBRA and says being 10 has made her feel 'excited and sophisticated'.
