Local actor Johanna Thea stars as Laurie Lovely, a kidnap victim - who refuses to be a victim in this new Psychological thriller directed by Alastair E Marks! 

The Australian director who has worked alongside Steven Spielberg with Johanna, states that this project was about creating a calling card for all artists and crew involved.

A self funded project, it is a platform on which to start making their mark in an Industry where sometimes it can take years to forge ahead.

At home Alastair worked on Cable and National TV for ten years, before arriving in London less than a year ago with the dream to film his first short within 365 days. 

Through his work with Michael Bay, PT Anderson and finally kn Spielbergs ReadyPlayerOne, he created a team of enthusiastic creatives including Johanna Thea in order for the short psychological thriller "The Wind Cries" to be made.

It is currently in post production, getting edited in time to do the festival circuit where all involved are hopeful it will create a great buzz! 

Johanna Thea of Irish mixed-heritage is excited about the project, stipulating that the role which requires her to wear a ball gag and shoot a gun, as being emotionally challenging and equally exceedingly rewarding. 

Both her agent Freya at the prestigious Simon & How, and her Manager Zach at British American Talent in L.A. are excited for its release onto the international market.

Meanwhile discussions are ongoing regarding an espionage feature film due to shoot in Norway later this year! Time will tell what roles will come her way, and where from next?
