Hampton's misery continues

Hampton's dramatic loss of form continues with a narrow 1-0 defeat to a limited, but hard-working Carshalton squad.
Since defeating Whitehawk back in October, the Beavers have gathered only 7 points from a possible 24 - all of them away from Beveree.
On a heavy pitch that cut up from the start and intermittent heavy rain, neither team could claim to have dominated the first 15 minutes but Hampton slowly began to create chances.
A James Simmonds shot from distance flew wide, as did a Jenkins half volley from the edge of the box.
After Jenkins had just failed to connect with a Charlie Moone cross from the right, the visitors took the lead on 36 minutes.
Tommy Brewer's shot beat Rodney Chiweshe, but held up in the mud of the goal mouth, leaving Nathaniel Pinney the easiest of tap-ins.
The conditions dictated the play, the ball holding up in the strong wind or shooting along off the sodden turf, but just before the break Gary Holloway managed to find some space at the edge of the box to try a shot that tested Robins keeper Nick Hamann - who was often seen charging from his goal to hoof a clearance from way outside the box.
After the restart, the Beavers had a golden opportunity to equalise when Neil Jenkins was pushed to the ground as he attempted to reached a long cross, referee Oleg Saliy immediately pointed to the spot.
Gary Holloway stepped up to place the ball on the spot, but his powerful spot kick didn't have the direction to match and it flew high and wide.
The rest of the half saw the Beavers attempting to break the dogged defiance from the Robins although Carshalton could have taken the game beyond the Beavers with just 10 minutes left as Goodman forced a smart save from Chiweshe.
Dean Inman, whose display at the back was as neat as before, nearly scraped the equaliser with a cross-cum-shot, which left Hamann no option but to tip over from in front of his post.
However, this was the last hurrah in a Beavers performance, which disappointed many fans and no doubt the management as well.
