Broncos working hard in search of first Super League win

Out: David Howell limps out of Sunday's defeat to Widnes Vikings
London Broncos new boy Tommy Lee admitted head coach Tony Rea would be working his men hard to turn a losing Super League start on its head this weekend.
Broncos travel to Lee’s former club Huddersfield Giants on Sunday, and the 24-year-old hooker said everyone would put their nose to the grindstone to get a win.
“We’re obviously disappointed with the overall performance but based on the build-up and the way we’ve prepared and trained, I thought we could have done things a lot better,” he said earlier this week.
“Obviously, it’s a long season so we’re not going to be too disheartened.
“We know we’ve got a lot of things to improve on next week against a tough Huddersfield team.
“It’ll be a tough week training and we’re back into it. We know we’ve got a lot of improvement and we’re a better team than that.”
Rea already has early season injury concerns with captain Craig Gower, who limped out of last week’s 28-14 defeat to Widnes Vikings, a doubt for the trip north.
There was even worse news when it was confirmed David Howell has broken his arm in the clash, which featured a Kieran Dixon brace and a try from Chris Melling.
