Hercules Wimbledon's Pete Clarke broke the club men's over-50 record when he finished sixth out of 883 runners in the Bushy Park 5km parkrun on Saturday.

His time of 17 minutes 16 seconds took 20 seconds off the old record set by Dennis Williams in Hyde Park in 2000.

Top Hercules Wimbledon finisher in Bushy Park was teenager Cassian Hyde who was third in 16:49.

Emma Henderson, who the previous weekend was the top woman in Fulham's Bishops Park, was top woman finisher in Kingston where she was seventh out of 71 runners in a personal best of 20:14.

Over 40 veteran Henderson, who was competing in Kingston for the first time, also posted the top age-graded performance.

Over 40 veteran Peter Collins was the top Hercules Wimbledon finisher in the Wimbledon Common parkrun where he covered the 5km in 18:43 to finish eighth out of 368 runners and post the top age-graded performance.

Fellow over 40 veteran Andrew Davies was 13th in 19:40 with over 50 veteran Adam Fenton 22nd in 20:07 just ahead of clubmate Adam Blake (20:14).

This weekend, Hercules Wimbledon's cross country runners will be in action in the South of the Thames five miles cross country race which is being held on Streatham Common on Saturday, starting at 2pm.

On Sunday, Hercules Wimbledon's youngsters are competing in the second of this season's Surrey Sporthall meetings at the Spectrum Leisure Centre, Guildford.
