Brentford boss Uwe Rosler is tired of talking about his side being good enough to reach the Championship and wants his men to put their money where his mouth is.

The Bees travel to promotion rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers tomorrow before hosting Peterborough United on Tuesday night in a stiff test of their promotion credentials.

The 45-year-old’s team  have recovered from a slow start to the campaign to be firmly established in the League One top six after a run of five straight league wins.

Keeper David Button last week identified the two matches as a chance to make up lost ground in the title race.

And, while the boss admitted his men were in good form at present, it was time they proved they were ready for the step up.

“We have put ourselves in a good position and we are challenging ourselves to do better,” said Rosler.

“We have the confidence and the ability, but it is easy to talk the talk. Now we have to walk the walk.

“Everyone knows about the problems we had at the start of the season which contributed to our slow start.

“But that is football.

“We are having a decent run of results, but this is just the start for us.

“The next two games are against teams with players who have a lot of Championship experience.

“These games will be an excellent test of where we are and where we want to be.”

Adam Forshaw, who scored his side’s second goal on Saturday, is likely to be a key influence in the next two matches.

And Rosler has challenged the former Everton man to continue his rich vein of form for the rest of the season.

“Adam was flying at this stage last season, but he could not keep it going,” he added.

“I do not want to single him out. It has been a team effort that has enabled the likes of Adam to perform as they have done so far.”
