Ryman League round up week 18

Ryman Premier League

Kingstonian kept in touch with the leaders of the Ryman Premier League on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Canvey Island at Kingsmeadow.

Alan Dowson’s men had to come from behind after finding themselves 1-0 down at the break – but goals from Andre McCollin, Ryan Moss and Dee Okejie turned the match around.

Ks climbed to second in the table, a single point behind Wealdstone, who beat Maidstone United 2-1 at home.

McCollin and Moss now have 31 goals between them in all competitions, but they fall behind Charlie Moone of Hampton & Richmond Borough, who bagged his 23rd goal of the season in a 2-2 draw at Margate.

Luke Wanadio had the Beavers 2-1 ahead, only for the hosts to equalise in the final minute.

Met Police and Carshalton Athletic’s matches were called off due to the weather.

Only four games survived the weather on Saturday, and it was Walton Casuals who took the most advantage with a 1-0 win at Faversham Town.

Connor French’s 10th strike of the season lifted the Casuals into second place, a point behind leaders Peacehaven & Telscombe, albeit having played three games more.

Tooting & Mitcham United also survived the weather to beat Hythe Town 4-1 at the Imperial Fields.

Frankie Sawyer grabbed a brace, and Bashiru Alimi and Max Noble also scored to lift the Terrors to 10th in the table.

There were no games for Walton & Hersham, Leatherhead or Corinthian Casuals.
