Hampton & Richmond Borough defender Alan Bray fears his time at the Beveree could be at an end – and it will not necessarily be down to him.
The 27-year-old has switched to Ryman Division One South Walton & Hersham on a six week loan deal as he steps up his return to fitness after breaking his arm earlier in the season.
Impressive festive wins over Kingstonian and Wealdstone have fired hopes of a play-off push from the Beavers and Bray admits the new found form could affect his chances of a return to boss Paul Barry’s squad.
“You never know what happens. It is out of my hands,” he said.
“I trained with Hampton last week and they seemed pretty keen to keep me, so hopefully the loan move will not become permanent.
“But they have a solid defence and if they continue to do well then I might have to go elsewhere.
“I’ve been out so long I do not want to sit on the bench.”
