Teddington Hockey Club’s U10 girls and boys teams both secured well-deserved gold medals at the Middlesex Championships on Sunday.
Sam Elvidge struck a hat-trick as his side avenged last year’s final defeat to Sunbury & Walton with a 4-1 triumph over the same side this time round.
The girls team matched that feat with a 3-1 triumph over Harrow to retain the trophy they lifted last year.
Boys team manager Peter Hunt said: “This was a great team performance with the entire squad contributing.
“Both teams have places in the south finals at the end of March, where they will face the winners and runners up from all the other southern counties.”
