At the English Schools Championships in Donnington Park, Croydon Harriers' Stevie Lawrence marked her third outing in a Surrey vest with her highest finish of the championships.

The Warlingham School student finished 55th out of 321 competitors, helping Surrey to the runners up spot in the county standings.

Elsewhere, Croydon Harriers’ men battled to 37th at the South of England 12-stage road relays at Milton Keynes on Sunday.

Against strong opposition which featured Olympians Chris Thompson and Scott Overall among others, Croydon finished the 76km race (six legs of 7.6km and six legs of 5km) in four hours, 53 minutes 42 seconds.

Alex Penfold kicked off the Croydon challenge in 40th in 27:45 for his 7.6km leg (169th fastest individual), before Jake English (54th) propelled the team up nine places after a 16:45 run for 5km.

UCL student Peter Chambers (133rd) gained another four places thanks to his 27:08 effort on his 7.6km third leg to leave Croydon 29th.

The rest of squad consisted of 5km legs - Harvey White (18:22, 173rd), Matthew Kiernan (19:38, 232nd), Martin Rowe (21:09, 244th), Robert Rye (21:10, 245th).

Over the 7.6km distance, Simon Loughran (29:09, 217th), David Chambers (29:26, 229th), Neil Aikman (31:16, 247th) and Colin Oxlade (31:28, 248th) completed the squad.

In Indoor Masters action, Mandy Rowley-Jones warmed up for the World Indoor Masters championships in Budapest with gold medal winning performance at the British Masters at Lee Valley.

The former Welsh junior international leapt to 9.17m in the W50 triple jump.

Sixteen Harriers were in action across eight different parkrunevents, and highlights included Jake English taking the spoils at Lloyd Park in 18:33.

There were top five finishes for David Chambers (fourth, Banstead Woods), Luke Wakeling (fifth, Lloyd Park) and Julie Williams (fourth, Greenwich Park).
