Walton Athletics Club’s Susie McLoughlin clocked 52.43 seconds to claim a W35 400m bronze medal for Great Britain at the World Masters Indoor Championships in Budapest on Sunday.
The 36-year-old, who won 400m Surrey Championship silver last summer and is British Masters W35 400m champion, then teamed up with Susan Young, Owusu Lesley and Ellena Ruddock to win the 4x200m gold to top her trip to Hungary in style.
Walton’s Joanne Locker, 37, collected a W35 3,000m bronze medal in a new personal best time of 10 minutes 10.52 seconds.
