The Middlesex County League Premier Division title race is set to go to the wire after leaders Teddington and chasing rivals Twickenham recorded wins last weekend.

With only two games remaining, just four points separate the top two, with third place Ealing a point further back.

Teddington are top after a 14-run win at Hornsey, where, having set their hosts an achievable 154 for victory, they had Duncan Wood (6-42) to thank for helping skittle Hornsey for 139.

On the Green, Simon Dunning took the plaudits hitting 79 off 35 balls as Twickenham chased down Finchley’s 200 all out to win by five wickets.

Dunning was supported by stand-in skipper David Russell (51), while Clint McCabe’s 4-38 had Finchley struggling with the bat.

Richmond’s faint title hopes ended at the hands of Stanmore’s Mukesh Bhatt, who took 9-58 in skittling Jack Porter’s side for 191.

Stanmore then overcame Richmond’s stand-out bowler Jimmy Mugnaioni (4-34) to win by three wickets.

Fixtures: Brondesbury v Richmond, Twickenham v Stanmore, Ealing v Teddington.
