New signing Mitchell Gutteridge kept Walton Casuals FA Cup dreams alive on Saturday and ended a run of six straight defeats for boss Mark Hams' men.
The 19-year-old, who made his debut alongside fellow new boys Derek Tieku and Malik Ouani, headed home in the second half to earn a 1-1 draw with Whitstable Town at Waterside Drive.
Casuals, currently rock bottom of Ryman Division One South, had trailed 1-0 at half time after a 22nd minute Ian Pulman strike had given Town the lead.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday to battle it out for a place in FA Cup first qualifying round.
