AFC Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley has assured fans that defending set pieces will have been high on the training agenda ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Carlisle United.
The Dons conceded two goals from corners in the 2-1 defeat to Cambridge United on Tuesday night, leaving the boss in no doubt about what needs addressing.
He said: “The players will have no excuses come 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
“They will be prepped, they will know exactly how we’re going to play, they will know the team and they will have worked on set pieces, I can assure you of that. “We will ask them to deliver again and that’s what they have got to do.”
He added: “We are three games into the season and if we looked like a team with no shape or quality, then fair enough, but I don’t think we are at that point.”
