The 25-year-old professional helped Quadriga lift the Ham House Trophy - the club's first major tournament of the calendar - on Sunday thanks to a 9-8 final win over Flying Foxes.

Araya Martelli, Ham's stable manager, is enjoying his first stint playing in the UK after combining spells in Malaysia, Thailand, China and Italy with playing in his homeland.

Ham celebrates its 90th anniversary this summer, with players competing all summer for especially made commemorative medallions.

And Araya Martelli, who played the pivotal position of number three in his four-man Quadriga team, is looking to add to his collection.

"It was a great game. The other team made a big effort to come back, but finally we dealt with them," he said of Sunday's dramatic final.

"We wanted to win the trophy and start the summer on the right foot.
