Robson's dream of breaking in to the world top 50 takes a big hit

Bitter taste of defeat: Laura Robson lost in straight sets in the second round of the China Open SP58726
Wimbledon tennis star Laura Robson ended a fine summer of performances by crashing out of the China Open in the second round.
The 18-year-old's defeat to Lourdes Domoinguez Lino of Spain (7-5 6-3) has also set back her dreams of breaking into the top 50 women players in the world.
Robson had capped a memorable summer last month with her first appearance in a WTA singles final at the Guangzhou Open in China and despite losing, she moved into the top 70 for the first time.
That success had followed on the heels of her winning Olympic silver with Andy Murray in the mixed doubles, and reaching the last 16 of the US Open, beating the former world number one Kim Clijsters on the way.
In China, a tight first set fell to the Spaniard and a more one-sided second set saw Robson defeated inside 90 minutes.
Robson now moves on to the HP Open in Osaka, Japan, next week.
