A 12-strong Croydon Harriers team notched seven podium finishes at their latest Downs League fixture in Epsom on Sunday, write Matthew Kiernan and Mike Fleet.

Trinity schoolboy Michael Eagling ran 11 minutes, 11 seconds to win the U11 1.5 mile race, beating Angus Harrington by one second as the team finished third.

In the U13 two-mile race, Omar Harhara, 12:14, and Charlie Brackenborough, 12:15, while Josie Kavanagh, 13:22 finished second girl.

The team came second by a single point on the day.

The U15 team, led home by Kartik Iyer in 11:41 were nudged into third by a point.

Holly Haile and Stevie Lawrence were the first two females in eighth and ninth.

Oweka Wanogho finished the 60m at the Crystal Palace Open in 6.91 seconds. Croydon’s Masters’ Mandy Rowley-Jones broke two W50 club records in the long and triple jump at the South of England indoor championships at Lee Valley.

Further silvers came from Andy Del Nevo (M40, pole vault) and Tony Richards (M60 shot putt).

Two Harriers won at the Lloyd parkrun, with Sam Clayton winning the men’s race in 18:39 and Haile the women’s race in 20:21.

Kavanagh won the Roundshaw Downs parkrun in 22:35.
