A controversial Charlie Collins goal proved the difference as Met Police beat Ryman Premier League leaders Kingstonian at Kingsmeadow on Monday.
Collins raced away to fire the opening goal on 40 minutes when the referee appeared to have awarded Ks a free kick deep in Blues territory, only to wave play on.
Striker Bradley Hudson-Odoi struck a carbon copy moments after half time when the Blues broke from a Kingstonian corner.
Ks frontman Ryan Moss got boss Alan Dowson's men back in the match with 18 minutes left on the clock, but they could not square things up despite their best efforts.
