Brentford boss Mark Warburton has warned Gillingham they will have to deal with more than just the threat of in-form strike pair Clayton Donaldson and Marcello Trotta.

The Bees were held 1-1 at promotion rivals Walsall on Saturday, ending a run of eight straight League One victories and seeing them knocked off the top of the table.

Warburton’s men will be looking to make it nine home wins in a row at Griffin Park tonight as they look to reclaim the spot at the summit.

The Bees hope to have Adam Forshaw and Sam Saunders fit for the clash, should they pass late fitness tests today.

And the Bees chief believes that will double the threat former Brentford defender Leon Legge might face at the back.

“We’ve had 12 wins in 14 games and the other two were draws at Wolves and Walsall, so we are in good shape,” said Warburton.

“There is no denying Clayton and Marcello are doing very well at the moment.

“They have been very good but goals have come from all areas of the pitch for us recently.

“Sam Saunders has found the net and the likes of Alan Judge have come into the mix too.

“Sam and Adam [Forshaw] are close to coming in to contention, but we’ll see how they shape up.

“The pitch will be heavy and the games are coming thick and fast, but that is something we are going to have to deal with.”
